Working with our builder Colonial Design & Build and their drafting team, Design Plus Drafting Systems, we have completed our home design. With this information we can fully price out the construction cost and apply for a construction loan.

Since this will be our retirement home, we are downsizing from our two-story, 4BR, 4BA, with basement to a one-story, 3BR, 3BA, with basement. Using log siding cut directly from western red cedar logs sourced from British Columbia, the home will have the look of a full log home but with the full insulation of a conventional 2”x6” framed home that will not have the settlement and maintenance concerns of full log. The great room inside will also be covered in the same western red cedar log siding. Below are the elevation views, the first floor plan, and the finished basement plan.
